WRITING / THE EVERYDAY TOOLKIT
Duplicate Line Remover.
Remove repeated lines while keeping their original order. This is a free utility from my portfolio toolkit, with local browser processing and no account required.
Keeps the first occurrence and original order. Leading and trailing spaces remain significant. Case-insensitive mode uses JavaScript lowercase conversion.
SIMPLE BY DESIGN
How to use Duplicate Line Remover
- Paste one item per line.
- Select case-sensitive comparison or ignore case.
- Generate the deduplicated list and verify the order before using it.
Keep the first item. Drop its later repeats.
A repeated-line check is useful for copied lists, short exports and sets of identifiers. The utility keeps the first occurrence of a line and preserves the order of the surviving items. Choose exact or case-insensitive comparison. Spaces remain significant so the tool does not silently rewrite values. If you need whitespace normalization, clean the text first and verify that trimming is appropriate for the data.
A FEW THINGS TO KNOW
A little more clarity.
Are spaces ignored while comparing lines?
No. Spaces remain part of the line. Use Text Cleaner first if trimming is appropriate for your list.
Is my input sent to a server?
No. This utility processes your input in your browser. URLs you paste are treated as data; the tool does not fetch them. Be careful with clipboard history on shared devices.
