SIMPLE BY DESIGN

How to use CSS Gradient Generator

  1. Select the two endpoint colors.
  2. Adjust the angle between 0 and 360 degrees while checking the preview.
  3. Generate and copy the background declaration into your component styles.

Explore a simple color transition and keep the CSS.

Choose two colors and a direction to create a CSS linear-gradient with evenly positioned endpoints. The live preview helps compare direction changes, while the generated declaration can be pasted into a stylesheet. A gradient adds visual depth without requiring an image download. If text sits above it, inspect the lowest-contrast region and test responsive crops; a passing endpoint does not guarantee readable text across the whole background.

A FEW THINGS TO KNOW

A little more clarity.

Does the preview check text accessibility?

No. Use the Contrast Checker for solid colors and evaluate text against every relevant portion of a gradient separately.

Is my input sent to a server?

No. This utility processes your input in your browser. URLs you paste are treated as data; the tool does not fetch them. Be careful with clipboard history on shared devices.
