SEO / THE EVERYDAY TOOLKIT
XML Sitemap Generator.
Build sitemap XML from a list of public canonical URLs. This is a free utility from my portfolio toolkit, with local browser processing and no account required.
Uses one origin, removes fragments and duplicate normalized URLs, and escapes XML. Up to 1000 URLs. Only include public, indexable pages returning successful responses.
SIMPLE BY DESIGN
How to use XML Sitemap Generator
- Paste absolute canonical URLs from one website, one per line.
- Generate the XML and review the normalized, deduplicated list.
- Check the URLs on your host before publishing the sitemap and referencing it from robots.txt.
List the canonical pages you want discovered.
A sitemap is an inventory of preferred public URLs, not a promise that search engines will index them. Paste up to 1000 absolute URLs from one origin. The utility normalizes URLs, removes fragments and repeated normalized entries, and escapes them into XML. It does not crawl your site, check HTTP responses or verify that a page’s canonical and robots directives agree. Perform those checks before publishing and submitting the file.
A FEW THINGS TO KNOW
A little more clarity.
Does listing a URL guarantee indexing?
No. A sitemap helps discovery. Search engines still decide whether and how to index a page.
Is my input sent to a server?
No. This utility processes your input in your browser. URLs you paste are treated as data; the tool does not fetch them. Be careful with clipboard history on shared devices.
