SEO / THE EVERYDAY TOOLKIT
Crawl Log Summary Analyzer.
Summarize sanitized URL, status and request-count rows locally. This is a free utility from my portfolio toolkit, with local browser processing and no account required.
Paste only anonymized path/status/count rows, not raw access logs. Omit names, IPs, tokens and personal query values. Query values are not echoed in the result. This cannot verify Googlebot identity or prove an attack.
SIMPLE BY DESIGN
How to use Crawl Log Summary Analyzer
- Aggregate and anonymize logs into path/status/request-count rows.
- Paste up to 5000 rows and generate the summary.
- Investigate important errors and query traffic in your original protected logging system.
Find response patterns in a sanitized request summary.
Export aggregated counts from your hosting logs as path, status and requests columns, separated by spaces or tabs. Remove IP addresses, personal query values, tokens and user-agent strings before pasting. The analyzer totals response classes and errors by pathname, and counts requests containing queries. It processes the data locally and omits query values from results. Since hostnames are merged by pathname, analyze one site or an intentionally combined dataset at a time. A claimed crawler identity needs separate verification at the infrastructure layer.
A FEW THINGS TO KNOW
A little more clarity.
Can this detect DDoS attacks or authenticate Googlebot?
No. Aggregate counts are triage evidence. Bot verification, attack classification, rate limits and production protection require infrastructure logs and controls.
Is my input sent to a server?
No. This utility processes your input in your browser. URLs you paste are treated as data; the tool does not fetch them. Be careful with clipboard history on shared devices.
